In a historic ceremony, USB has officially added its 52nd state, Pabna-sota, to its glorious union. Nestled between Rajshahi and the Great Mango Plains, Pabna-sota is known for its serene rice fields, innovative cows, and world-famous shorshe ilish (mustard hilsa).
Governor-elect Bhaat Majhi celebrated the occasion with a state-wide festival featuring free pulao for all citizens. The USB national anthem was sung in unison as the state flag—a jackfruit on a bed of mustard—was hoisted.
Pabna-sota’s state motto, “Eat Rice, Stay Nice,” embodies its commitment to agricultural prosperity and neighborly love.
